Thornton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morez Johnson, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Thornton's points. Chase Abraham was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Thornton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Metamora, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
