Blue Hills RVT got a massive performance out of Sydney Cull, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Cull has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Sylvia Cull, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Blue Hills RVT was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are 6-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Old Colony RVT came up short against Bristol County Agricultural on Monday and fell 24-21. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kayleigh DeSousa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 6-for-6 with six RBI, four doubles, and two stolen bases. Maeve Hunter was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.
Blue Hills RVT's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Old Colony RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Blue Hills RVT has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .521. However, it's not like Old Colony RVT struggles in that department as they've averaged .552. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
