Admiral Farragut has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Hollins Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Admiral Farragut, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-41 loss to Northside Christian.
Meanwhile, Hollins' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 51-28 loss at the hands of Countryside. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hollins in their matchups with Countryside: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Hollins had strong showings from Cecilia Tith, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds, and Destini Solomon, who scored six points along with two steals. Solomon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Admiral Farragut has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Hollins, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Admiral Farragut was dealt a bruising 58-30 defeat at the hands of Hollins in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hollins' Summer Morgan, who scored 43 points along with five steals and three blocks. Now that Admiral Farragut knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
