The Mobile Christian Leopards will be taking part in a tournament against the Baldwin County Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mobile Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Mobile Christian's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Foley with a sharp 18-0 win.
Karsyn Grantham was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Grantham was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Mobile Christian got a massive performance out of Hailey Padgett, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Padgett is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Lacey Betts was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Mobile Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Baldwin County's offense. They fell just short of Fairhope by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Madilyn Byrd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Baldwin County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke McGowin, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Mobile Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Baldwin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
