The home team had won the previous six meetings between Kinsley and Stafford, and Kinsley kept the tradition alive. The Coyotes had just enough and edged out the Trojans 2-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Kinsley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-7.

Kinsley's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Stafford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Kinsley will square off against Ellinwood at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Stafford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Larned on the 9th.
