Even though the McCutcheon Mavericks have not done well against the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. McCutcheon snuck past Lafayette Central Catholic with a  48-42 victory. The  win was familiar territory for McCutcheon who now have four in a row.
 McCutcheon got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Chloe Finney out in front who  scored 13 points along with 6  rebounds and 3  steals. The  contest was  Finney's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lillie Graves, who  scored 19 points along with 3  steals.
 McCutcheon pushed their record up to 7-2 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they have  fallen quite a ways from their 20-7 record last season and are now  at 3-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCutcheon will take on Kokomo at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Indiana (Kokomo is ranked 127th, while McCutcheon is ranked 113th). As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Faith Christian at 7:30  p.m.
