It was another big night for Aaron Layne, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds for Roane County. The contest was Layne's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Clifton, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Roane County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Polk County will be home for the holidays to greet Tellico Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tellico Plains is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Roane County, they will head out on the road to face off against Sweetwater at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sweetwater will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Roane County is ranked 60th).
