The Fort Campbell Falcons lost against the Christian County Colonels back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Fort Campbell took a serious blow against Christian County, falling 86-12. Fort Campbell has not had much luck with Christian County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Rosella Rajj was Fort Campbell's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Laticiyia Cabrera held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Christian County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amari Northington, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Northington has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaysia Bagwell, who scored 13 points.
Fort Campbell's loss was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.2 points per game. As for Christian County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Fort Campbell won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Montgomery Central at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Fort Campbell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 45 on Thursday. As for Christian County, they and Trigg County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Christian County is facing Trigg County at the right time seeing as Trigg County is stuck on a 11-game losing streak.
