Evart entered their tilt with Houghton Lake on Monday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They never let the Bobcats get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.

Willie Ray and Aidan Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Ray tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Anderson kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Ray a new career-high in strikeouts (three). At bat, Ray went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Anderson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.

In other batting news, Aaron Vanassche was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Evart is undefeated when Vanassche posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Ransom, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Evart always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Evart's record now sits at 12-8. As for Houghton Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Evart will have a chance to go back-to-back against Houghton Lake: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
