Conneaut Area is 0-5 against Sharon since September of 2018 but things could change  on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Tigers at 7:00  p.m. After  the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents,  one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Conneaut Area took a loss when they played away from home  two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They put the hurt on Girard with a sharp  27-7 win. The Eagles not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since August 22nd (when they won  48-6).

 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conneaut Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Mason Stone, who threw for 128 yards and three  touchdowns. Those  three  passing touchdowns gave  Stone a new career-high.  Chance Meader handled things on the ground, rushing for 113 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, Sharon entered their tilt with Titusville two weeks ago with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by  a  42-21 margin over the Rockets. Considering the Tigers have won five contests by more than 20  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Sharon's win came from a few key players Conneaut Area will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Ethan Engelmore, who threw for 212 yards and three  TDs on only 13 passes.  Bishop Root was  Engelmore's top target, picking up 14 receiving yards.
 Conneaut Area's record now sits at 7-3. As for Sharon, their record is now 6-3.
Friday's   matchup might be decided on the ground. Conneaut Area has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 187  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sharon struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 185.9  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Conneaut Area took a serious blow against Sharon  in their previous meeting  on October 10th, falling  47-7. Can the Eagles avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
