Londonderry strolled into their game on Friday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Bedford Bulldogs as they made off with a 15-1 win. Considering the Lancers have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Abby Austen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Londonderry let Allison Chambers and Elizabeth Kearney run wild.
