Crosby can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Derby Red Raiders by a score of 60-48. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Derby's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jerlena Alexander, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards, and Shea Gray, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Gray's evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Alexis Cavallaro was another key player, putting up six points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Crosby's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Derby, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Crosby will host Capital Prep/Classical Magnet/Achievement First at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Derby, they are taking a road trip to square off against Waterbury Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
