Sturgeon Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waupaca Comets.
Sturgeon Bay's offense was headlined by  Audrey Harrington and  Yarrow Goettelman, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from  Makenna Coyhis and her 12 assists. Harrington was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with five aces.
 Waupaca found their leader in sophomore  Sage Soto, who  had ten  digs and two  aces.
Sturgeon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Waupaca, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Sturgeon Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  2-0  loss against Pulaski on the 30th. As for Waupaca, they have also already played their next game,  a  2-0  defeat against Mosinee on the 30th.
