Park Crossing is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Carver Montgomery with a sharp 24-2 win on Saturday. The Thunderbirds have beaten the Wolverines the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolverines has come to flipping the script.
J MCGHEE was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. MCGHEE was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, N HARRINGTON was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. J GREEN was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Park Crossing always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Pike Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Trinity Presbyterian, falling 11-2.
Pike Road also got a good showing from Hudson Franks, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Franks gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.
At the plate, Pike Road saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Runner Stripling, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Stripling's first of the season.
Pike Road's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Park Crossing, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Park Crossing might still be hurting after the 16-2 defeat they got from Pike Road in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Park Crossing avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
