Bloomer has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Cadott Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Bloomer is ranked 197th, while Cadott is ranked 200th).
Bloomer suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Regis 75-45.
Meanwhile, Cadott can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Thorp 59-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Cadott has posted since December 8, 2023.
Cadott found their leader in underclassman Taylor Hager, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kasey Moldrem, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Bloomer has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Cadott, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
Bloomer was able to grind out a solid win over Cadott in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 54-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomer since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
