Make it nine blowout wins for the Colquitt County Packers this season. They took their game on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 55-21 win over Bainbridge. Given Colquitt County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Bearcats are ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colquitt County to victory, but perhaps none more so than D'Zeriyah Polite, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jamya Moore, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bainbridge's loss came despite strong showings from Miyah Williams and Z'riah Solomon. Williams scored eight points, while Solomon scored four points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Colquitt County and bumps their season record up to 18-4. As for Bainbridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colquitt County and the Wildcats will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Valdosta is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Bainbridge, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
