Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Olson, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Olson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kolby Hansen was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Borg, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Wakefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Walthill at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Walthill is ranked 78th, while Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is ranked 88th). As for Wakefield, they will head out on the road to take on Ponca at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ponca is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
