Basketball Recap: Georgetown Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Georgetown won the last time they faced Weiss and things went their way on Friday too. The Georgetown Eagles blew past the Weiss Wolves 55-32. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Krystyna Dennis, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Dennis has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Ketchens, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Georgetown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Weiss, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Coincidentally, Georgetown and Weiss will both be playing Pflugerville the next time they take the court. Weiss will head out to face Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Georgetown will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
