Washington-Lee moved up to 117 from 162 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 6A Conference 6. The Generals were able to move up by defeating Falls Church 21-14.
Washington-Lee made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,009 from 5,521. The improvement was the result of a 21-14 victory over the Jaguars last week.
McLean's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Highlanders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Daniel Hecht has thrown for 587 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Christopher McDonald has 7 catches for 159 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Yorktown takes on Hayfield. At the moment, the Patriots are in first, while the Hawks are in seventh.
