Durant ended up on the wrong side of a tough 48-23 walloping at the hands of Bloomingdale on Tuesday. Durant has struggled against Bloomingdale recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Durant still got an impressive performance from Elani-hazel Randall, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. Randall hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Among those leading the charge was Jatia Markes, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Izellah Kendrick, who scored 9 points.
Durant has fallen quite a ways from their 19-6 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Bloomingdale, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durant will square off against East Bay at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverview at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Bloomingdale is ranked 19th).
