The West Linn Lions will be playing at home against the West Salem Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as West Linn comes in on 20 and West Salem on four.
West Linn stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Oregon City at home to the tune of 52-13. 52 seems to be a good number for West Linn as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, West Salem faced Sheldon in a battle between two of the state's top teams. West Salem blew past Sheldon 42-21. The result was nothing new for West Salem, who have now won five matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Kaden Martirano was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 256 yards and a touchdown on only 19 passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Ian Herber, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
West Linn's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.82 points. As for West Salem, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for West Linn against West Salem in their previous matchup back in November of 2015 as the squad secured a 42-14 victory. Does West Linn have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Salem turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
