Basketball Recap: Chattahoochee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mayisha Kimoto and Loren Withrite

If Chattahoochee was riding high fresh off their 48-21 takedown of Therrell last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. 2025 welcomed the Chattahoochee Cougars with a 44-23 loss courtesy of the South Forsyth War Eagles on Saturday. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Chattahoochee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Loren Withrite, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points, and Mayisha Kimoto, who posted two points and eight rebounds. Kimoto has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.

Chattahoochee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for South Forsyth, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chattahoochee will host Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Forsyth, they will take on Alpharetta at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Forsyth is facing Alpharetta at the right time seeing as Alpharetta is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
