Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfield). They blew past the Eldorado Eagles 65-43 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Mules with their most commanding win of the season.

Despite the defeat, Eldorado had strong showings from Jake Phelps, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points, and Jordan Jones, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Fairfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Eldorado, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-40 loss against Massac County on the 28th. As for Eldorado, they will welcome Triad at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
