After two games on the road, Round Rock is heading back home. They will take on The Vista Ridge Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Round Rock is ranked 172nd, while Vista Ridge is ranked 167th).
Round Rock can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-7 victory over Cedar Ridge on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-7.
Round Rock can attribute much of their success to Mason Cochran, who rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and Israel Murphy, who rushed for 109 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Meanwhile, Vista Ridge fell victim to Vandegrift's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Vipers 45-0. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, Vista Ridge couldn't push the score so high this time.
Even if they lost, Vista Ridge's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Vandegrift's QB won't forget Kaden Dees anytime soon given Dees sacked him five times.
Round Rock's victory bumped their season record to 4-5 while Vista Ridge's defeat dropped theirs to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Round Rock against Vista Ridge in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 51-10 win. Does Round Rock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vista Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
