Muncy and Bucktail are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Indians will welcome the Bucks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

After dropping their season opener at home, Bucktail is headed out to face a Indians squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Muncy came up short against Montgomery last Tuesday, falling 8-2. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Red Raiders since last Tuesday.

Bucktail had taken Montgomery down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Bucks lost 17-7 to the Red Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bucks have suffered against the Red Raiders since April 28, 2022.

Eva Sockman put in work while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Sockman wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Stone, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Stone is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Everything went Muncy's way against Bucktail in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Muncy made off with a 13-0 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bucks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
