The Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls will head out on the road to challenge the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Healthy is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Mt. Healthy earned a 61-53 win over the Knights. The victory was all the more spectacular given Mt. Healthy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 676th, while the Knights are ranked 327th).
Madeira can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They breezed by Finneytown at home to the tune of 73-38. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-23.
Madeira relied on the efforts of Will Manning, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals, and Aidan Hopewell, who scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hopewell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Carson Shafer, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Mt. Healthy's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Madeira, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-14.
