Round Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Bullington, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Bryce Berg was another key rusher, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Berg wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Round Mountain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laughlin only rushed for 102.
Round Mountain wouldn't let Laughlin keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Jordan Penson was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Round Mountain will have plenty of time to enjoy the win as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Beaver Dam at 5:00 p.m. on September 6th. As for Laughlin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
