Uintah took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on the Emery Spartans with a sharp 10-4 victory. This was payback for the Utes, who suffered a 15-10 loss the last time these two teams met.
Lynlee Hall made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hall was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Uintah got a massive performance out of Hannah Morrow, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Kynlee Bristol was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Uintah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emery only posted an OBP of .290.
Looking ahead, Uintah will host Emery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Emery, they will square off against Skyridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
