Alamosa is 8-2 against Montezuma-Cortez since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mean Moose will host the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. Alamosa will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
Alamosa is returning to their home court after beating Centauri on theirs, despite the fact Centauri has dominated at home this season. The Mean Moose came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
Alamosa was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Leela Gutierrez and Egypt Holman were among the main playmakers for Alamosa as the former had 14 digs and four assists and the latter had 12 digs and three aces. Those 12 digs gave Holman a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Alamosa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centauri only served seven.
Meanwhile, Montezuma-Cortez came up short against Centauri on Friday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost nine in a row.
Montezuma-Cortez was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Centauri work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 24-26, 25-13, 26-24.
Montezuma-Cortez's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Alamosa, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
Everything went Alamosa's way against Montezuma-Cortez when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Alamosa made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Mean Moose repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
