For the second straight game, Petal will face off against Pearl. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Petal will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Petal made easy work of Pearl  and carried off  a  17-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won nine games by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Jayden Madison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  pitched 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 In other pitching news,  Kaleb Dillon looked comfortable as he  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Back at the plate, Petal got a  massive  performance out of  Jaylen Lee, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Nathan Garner, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Pearl has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season. As for Petal, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
