IDEA Edinburg College Prep was led to victory by Sebastian Alvarez and Kennedy Onwuzurike. Alvarez scored ten points along with six steals and five assists, while Onwuzurike dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Alvarez. Another player making a difference was Sirbruda Bright, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for IDEA Edinburg College Prep and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Idea Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
IDEA Edinburg College Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Jubilee Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Idea Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against IDEA North Mission at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
