After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Berry brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the Ashbrook Greenwave with a sharp 20-4 win on Wednesday. The Cardinals have beaten the Greenwave the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Greenwave has come to flipping the script.

Berry's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Ashbrook, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Berry will head out to challenge Ballantyne Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ballantyne Ridge has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something Berry will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ashbrook, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. Kings Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 0.5 runs per game this season, so Ashbrook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
