The Jackson Christian Eagles lost against the University School of Jackson Bruins on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Jackson Christian took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of University School of Jackson.
University School of Jackson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haylen Ayers, who scored 14 points. Lilly Teague was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Jackson Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5. As for University School of Jackson, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson Christian will take on Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for University School of Jackson, they will head out on the road to square off against Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tipton-Rosemark Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while University School of Jackson is ranked 53rd).
