The McArthur Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Homestead Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, McArthur was fully in charge, breezing past Boyd Anderson 45-7 on the road. Given McArthur's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Boyd Anderson is ranked 398th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Homestead waltzed into two weeks ago's match with six straight wins but they left with seven. They blew past Belen Jesuit 41-3 on the road. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Homestead had established a 24 point advantage.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Homestead to victory, but perhaps none more so than James Randle, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown. Kevin Cascuda did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 106 receiving yards.
McArthur's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4-1. As for Homestead, they have yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 8-1 record.
