The Franklin Panthers will play host again and welcome the Tuscola Mountaineers, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Franklin might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting East Henderson an easy 70-48 win. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin has scored all season.
Despite their loss, Franklin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jacob Gibson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gibson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Mcclure, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Tuscola, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They were the victim of a tough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Enka on Thursday.
Franklin's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-1. As for Tuscola, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Franklin against Tuscola in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 70-28 victory. Does Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tuscola turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
