A Season-Best Effort from Mason Atkins Leads West Aurora over Larkin
On Friday, West Aurora got the W thanks in part to Mason Atkins playing the best football he has all season. Atkins threw for 233 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards.
The victory for West Aurora keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. It'll be Eastside v. Westside when their and Aurora East meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
