The Yreka Miners waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Central Valley 75-39 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Yreka has managed all season.
Isaac Tannaci went supernova for Yreka, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and three steals. Tannaci is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Zediker, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Central Valley had strong showings from Hunter Sanderson, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and seven steals, and Kanin Harris, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Sanderson hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games.
Yreka's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Central Valley, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-26.
Yreka will be playing in front of their home fans against Paradise at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Yreka is coming into the match with four straight victories at home, so Paradise is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Central Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
