Woodlands extended the longest winning streak in Section 1 C/D this week by beating Bronxville, 35-7. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Rye Neck moved up to 95 from 155 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers were able to make move up by beating Dobbs Ferry 25-7.
Rye Neck's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jakob Calvini threw for 20 and one touchdown and Ryan Morningstar had 25 yards receiving. On the ground Morningstar chipped in 89 yards. Dom Brescia helped Rye Neck's passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.
Shyheim Nixon provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Tuckahoe bested Yonkers Montessori Academy. He completed two passes for 26 yards and also ran for 65 yards. Nixon's favorite target this week was Michael Castracucco, who caught one pass for 15 yards.
Pawling's AARON THOMAS and JUSTIN MAYETTE have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. THOMAS has thrown for 485 yards this season, while MAYETTE has 18 catches for 437 yards. Nico Denise from Albertus Magnus leads the league in rushing with 1044 yards.
CAMERON THOMAS of the the Tigers is only 48 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 88 carries THOMAS has accumulated 952 yard this year.
Pawling was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in Section 1 C/D. Carl Ferraro's team beat Valhalla 38-0 earlier in the week.
