Chenango Forks (Binghamton, N.Y.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used two fourth quarter points to seal the 22-0 victory over
Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga, N.Y.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Isaiah Zimmer in the first quarter, the Blue Devils led 13-0 at the half.
Chenango Forks grew its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. CF's lone score in the quarter came on a
John Colm Sweeney touchdown pass to
James Pattwell.
The loss snapped Cleveland Hill's 11-game winning streak.
The Binghamton school had given up an average of 11.9 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Eagles ended with were well below their average of 30.9 coming into the game.
The loss comes after Cleveland Hill defeated Wayland-Cohocton 46-20 last week.
