The Elmira Express scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They put the hurt on Edison with a sharp 60-38 win. Elmira has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Ellie Clearwater was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Matias, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Elmira now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Elmira will head out on the road to challenge Vestal at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitney Point at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
