Braelyn Altman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Altman was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and five RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Taylor Allderdice got a massive performance out of Amya Weisfield, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor Allderdice will challenge Steel Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Obama Academy of International Studies, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carrick at 3:15 p.m. on April 10.
