Cyprus is a perfect 10-0 against Hunter since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Cyprus' favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hunter has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Cyprus is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since April 4, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Murray by a score of 7-5.

Rene Hidalgo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Easton Anderson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Hunter fell victim to Taylorsville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Warriors.

Hunter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Montoya, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Montoya's first of the season.

Hunter's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Cyprus, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.

Hunter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cyprus has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .472. It's a different story for Hunter, though, as they've only averaged .312. Will they be able to contain Cyprus' hitters?
