After losing to the Paso Robles Bearcats the last time they met, the Pioneer Valley Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Pioneer Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Paso Robles on Friday and snuck past 45-43.
It was another big night for Inderveer Toor, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Giddings, who scored five points along with five assists.
Pioneer Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Paso Robles, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pioneer Valley will take on Cabrillo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cabrillo will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Pioneer Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Paso Robles, they will be playing at home against Santa Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Maria knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 contests -- so hopefully Paso Robles likes a good challenge.
