Ravenscroft is 10-0 against Cary Academy since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ravenscroft Ravens will be playing at home against the Cary Academy Chargers at 5:15 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Ravenscroft suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 68-44 walloping at the hands of North Raleigh Christian Academy.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Zoe Adams, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Cronin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Cary Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 41-29 to Thales Academy Apex.
Ravenscroft has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Cary Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Everything went Ravenscroft's way against Cary Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Ravenscroft made off with a 57-35 victory. Will Ravenscroft repeat their success, or does Cary Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
