Baseball Recap: Oak Hill Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oak Hill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Mississinewa Indians. This was payback for the Golden Eagles, who suffered a 10-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Matthew O'Banion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Oak Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Archer, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Emmett Dorothy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Oak Hill's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Mississinewa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Oak Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 win against Madison-Grant on the 3rd. As for Mississinewa, they will challenge Alexandria-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
