Yuma Catholic waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Kingman Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Shamrocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.
Jose Alatorre made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Daniel Ruiz, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hiram Silva, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Yuma Catholic's record is now 15-4. As for Kingman, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
