The Cromwell Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Valley Regional Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Cromwell humbled North Branford with a 90-54 victory.
Meanwhile, Valley Regional came up short against East Hampton on Tuesday and fell 68-58. Valley Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jack Driscoll, who scored nine points along with 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Dolinsky, who scored 15 points.
Cromwell's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Valley Regional, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.
Everything came up roses for Cromwell against Valley Regional in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 62-22 win. Does Cromwell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley Regional turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
