Chicopee has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. After each having a week off, the Chicopee Pacers and the Athol Bears will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on November 16th. Chicopee will be strutting in after a victory while Athol will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Chicopee strolled past Palmer with points to spare, taking the game 20-6.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Athol, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They lost to Hoosac Valley at home by a decisive 34-18 margin on Saturday. Athol's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The losing side was boosted by Aaron Ouellet, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Chicopee's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Athol, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Chicopee took their win against Athol in their previous meeting back in November of 2018 by a conclusive 24-2. Does Chicopee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Athol turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
