Marion County is 10-0 against Hackleburg since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Marion County Red Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Hackleburg Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Marion County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Lynn scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Marion County still came out on top. Marion County enjoyed a cozy 75-59 win over Lynn. Given Marion County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Lynn is ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Joe Aldridge was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Tye Madison was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Hackleburg, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 45-35 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Hackleburg has struggled against Belgreen recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Marion County has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Hackleburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Marion County strolled past Hackleburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 78-63. Will Marion County repeat their success, or does Hackleburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
