Cedaredge entered their tilt with Roaring Fork with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Cedaredge came out on top against Roaring Fork by a score of 58-46 on Friday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 12 more assists than your opponent, as Cedaredge did.
Cedaredge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Maxey led the charge by scoring 21 points along with three steals. Maxey hasn't dropped below 16 points for nine straight games. Logan Tullis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Grand Valley earned a 56-43 win over Olathe on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Grand Valley.
Cedaredge pushed their record up to 6-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Grand Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Cedaredge came up short against Grand Valley in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-49. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Grand Valley's Porter Ostermiller, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
